What We Believe...

Our Articles of Faith!"

We believe that a Christian is one who believes in a supernatural Bible, which tells of a supernatural Christ, Who had a supernatural conception, Who spoke supernatural words, Who performed supernatural miracles, Who lived a supernatural life, Who died a supernatural death, Who rose in supernatural splendor, Who intercedes as a supernatural priest and Who will one day return in supernatural glory and establish a supernatural kingdom on the earth.

Article I.
Of the Scriptures
- We believe that the Holy Bible was written by men who were inspired by the Holy Ghost and that it is the Word of God - II Timothy 3:16-17

Article II.
Of the True God
- We believe that there is one, and only one, true God, who manifests Himself to us in the Person of the Father, in the Person of the Son, and in the Person of the Holy Spirit - Exodus 20:2-3; I Timothy 3:16

Article III.
Of the Holy Spirit
- We believe that the Holy Spirit is a divine person; equal with God the Father and God the Son and is of the same nature - John 14:16-17

Article IV.
Of the Devil, or Satan
- We believe that Satan (Lucifer) was once holy; but through pride and ambition to be as the Almighty, fell and drew after him a host of angels. Currently holding the position as the "god of this world" (II Corinthians 4:4) we hold him to be man's great tempter and the enemy of God and His Christ - Isaiah 14:12-15

Article V.
Of Creation
- We believe in the Genesis account of creation, and that it is to be accepted literally - Genesis 1:1

Article VI.
Of the Fall of Man
- We believe that man was created in innocence under the law of his Maker, but through willful disobedience, fell from his sinless and happy state - Genesis 3:1-6; Romans 5:12, 19

Article XII
Of Repentance and Faith
- We believe that Repentance and Faith are solemn obligations, required by God for salvation in Jesus Christ - Acts 20:21; Acts 2:37-39

Article XIII
Of the Church
- We believe the church to be the Body of Christ; comprised solely of Scripturally baptized believers associated by a covenant of faith and fellowship of the gospel. We believe that Jesus Christ is the head of the local New Testament church and that said church is not to be interfered with or imposed upon by outside entities or agencies - Acts 2:41; Ephesians 2:18-23

Article XIV
Of Baptism and the Lord's Supper
- We believe that Christian baptism is the immersion in water of a believer, in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost, with the authority of the local church. It is an act of obedience as is an outward symbol of an inward changing of the heart. As to the Lord's Supper, the sacred use of bread and the fruit of the vine are to commemorate together the love of Christ towards us - Acts 8:36-39; I Corinthians 11:23-28

Article XV
Of the Preserving of the Saints
- We believe that such only are real believers as endure to the end. Real believers are distinguished from mere "professors" by their persevering attachment to Christ - John 8:31-32; Colosians 1:21-23

Article XVI
Of the Righteous and the Wicked
- We believe that there is a radical and essential difference between the righteous and the wicked. The righteous, through faith, are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and are sanctified by the Spirit of God. The wicked, while continuing in impenitence and unbelief, remain under the curse - Malachi 3:18; Romans 6:16-18

Article XVII
Of Civil Government
- We believe that civil government is of divine appointment for the interests and good order of human society; that magistrates are to be prayed for, honored and obeyed; except only in things opposed to the will of our Lord Jesus Christ; who is the only Lord of conscience, the Church, and the coming Prince of the kings of the earth - Romans 13:7; Acts 4:19-20, 5:29; Philippians 2:10-11

Article XVIII
Of the Resurrection and Return of Christ and Related Events
- We believe in and accept the sacred Scriptures upon these subjects as their face and full value. We believe that Christ rose bodily on the third day, and that He will return bodily to this earth and reign for a thousand years in righteousness - Matthew 28:6-7; Revelation 20:1-6

Article XIX
Of Missions
- The command to give the gospel to the world is clear and unmistakable and this commission was given to the churches - Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15; John 20:21; Romans 10:10-15

Article XX
Of the Grace of Giving
- Scriptural giving is one of the fundamentals of the faith (II Cor. 8:7). We are commanded to give as God has blessed us, and where He leads us to give to support the ministry of the Body of Christ - I Corinthians 16:2; Acts 4:34-37; II Corinthians 9:5-15
